Fieldworks in Tendrils
I am grateful to be included in the Tendrils issue devoted to trauma and the environment. Visit Tendrils and pick up a copy. The Washington, DC-based journal offers a thoughtful exploration of trauma, ecology, and the environments we inhabit.
Fieldworks examines the entanglement of agriculture and industry through the quiet violence of land conversion and environmental extraction. Bound hay bales are secured with synthetic straps and positioned on an industrial dolly, reflecting shifting rural identities under pressure from development, mechanization, monoculture, and commodification.
